Dr. Israel Barzilai, Israel Minister to Poland, attended Yom Kippur services here yesterday, accompanied by a number of officials from the legation. Dr. Barzilai and his aides were given a hearty welcome by the Jews in the synagogue.
Special arrangements were made for Jewish prisoners to celebrate the Jewish High Holy Days at the Sandomierz prison. The governor of the prison arranged to make a large central cell available for holiday services. He also permitted special food parcels to be sent to the prisoners for the holiday period.
