Jaacov Tsur, Israeli minister to Uruguay, has presented his credentials to Foreign Minister Daniel Castellanos, it was reported here today. During their meeting Tsur requested a special audience with Uruguayan President Luis Berres, in order to receive his final accreditation.
Tsur was accompanied on his visit to the Foreign Minister’s office by Dr. Jacobo Hazan, who was until recently in charge of the Israeli mission. Hazan will continue to serve as a member of the Israeli mission. The Comite Central Israelita, official representative organization of Uruguayan Jewry, tendered a reception in Tsur’s honor
