The Israel Government maintained today its policy of silence on reports of a West German loan for the industrial development of the Negev.

Asked for details by General Zionists Ezra Ichilov in the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, Pinhas Sapir, Minister of Commerce and Industry, expressed regret that he could not say anything on the matter and referred the Deputy to a laconic denial by the Prime Minister’s office last January 1.
