The Israel Foreign Ministry has decided to nominate Dr. A. Harel, currently its envoy in Ducharest, to be Ambassador in Moscow. He would replace Joseph Avidar.
Dr. Harel, a leading Israeli physician, served in the War of Liberation as liaison officer between the Israeli forces and the International Red Cross. At that time he had the rank of Colonel. Originally a resident of Givat Brenner, Dr. Harel was formerly active in the Achdut Avodah Party.
A Yugoslav trade delegation arrived here today to negotiate for a renewal of the current Israel-Yugoslavia trade pact. Both parties hope to expand commerce between the two countries.
