The Haifa Documentation Center has repeated its offer of $50,000 for information leading to the capture of the notorious Auschwitz experimenter, Dr. Josef Mengele, who is believed to be in Paraguay. “If the Peruvian police put their hands on him, then the Peruvian police will get the reward,” said Tuvia Friedman, head of the center, referring to reports that Peru wants Mengele on a murder charge. Friedman, a journalist, also disclosed that a group of Paraguayans has offered to turn in Mengele for $100,000. The ex-Nazi is believed to be living in a Paraguayan retreat protected by government troops.
