Britain has never asked Israel for military bases in Israel and the Jewish State has never offered such bases to Britain, Premier Moshe Sharett today declared in Parliament.
To a demand by Communist deputy Meir Wilner that Parliament debate reports that Israel had offered bases to Britain, the Premier replied that the reports were “absolute lies.” The House decided not to hold a debate on these reports.
