Four hundred and fifty immigrants from North Africa and 50 from Eastern Europe arrived here today on the liner Negba.

Dr. T.H. Tschopp, chief geologist of the Israel Oil Prospectors Company, said the company would drill ten more wells this year in the Heletz region where one well is already bringing in oil.

Canada will defer to the Israel Government’s request not to encourage immigration from Israel and will not establish special immigration facilities there., Immigration Minister John W. Pickersgill announced here.

Kfar Silver, Israel agricultural training institute near Ashkelon, joint project of the Zionist Organization of America and the General Zionist Party of Israel, will be formally dedicated on March 29. Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, for whom the institute is named, will be principal speaker at the dedication.
