Israel Offers Aid in Reducing Infant Mortality in Burma

Israel has offered to send an Israeli medical team to help Burmese doctors deal with the high rate of infant mortality in this country. The offer was made by Israel’s Minister of Health, Israel Barzilai during his current meeting with U Ba Saw, Minister of Health of Burma. Mr. Barzilai, who is visiting Burma after attending the World Health Organization conference in New Delhi, presented the Burmese Minister with 15, 000 assorted vaccine units for combating children’s diseases.
