The Naptha Oil Company announced plans today to invest 3,000,000 pounds to develop the newly-discovered large natural gas field, east of the Dead Sea, near Sdom.
The company said it had started negotiations with a potash firm to supply the latter company’s power station with gas, in place of kerosene now being used. The field contains an estimated 35,000 million cubic feet of gas.
