Israel’s new Minister of Police, Shlomo Hillel said yesterday that emphasis would be placed on the rehabilitation of El Fatah and other terrorist prisoners held in Israeli jails. Mr. Hillel spoke after touring several prisons. He said the humane treatment accorded the inmates was “changing Arab myths” about Israel. According to the Minister, many of the terrorists told him they took up arms against Israel simply because they had not been trained for anything else.
