Plans for the establishment of 70 industrial enterprises in six new townships in the Negev were announced today by Michael Tsur, director-general of Israel’s Ministry of Development.
He said the towns, with a total population of 60,000, were slated to be established next year in the Negev areas that are as yet unsettled. The planned enterprises are in the field of light industries, which do not require large transportation budgets.
