The trial of 15 youths charged with membership in an illegal underground organization conducting political terrorism was resumed today, after recess for Tishah B’Av, with the prosecution attempting to prove that confessions signed by several of the defendants were not obtained by force.
Police officials brought to court a lie detector and dictaphone records on which were recorded what had occurred during the interrogation of the prisoners. Police officials explained the methods they used in obtaining the confessions, and denied using force or in any way maltreating the defendants.
