Premier David Ben Gurion yesterday concluded a two-day tour of the Sina Peninsula, according to a broadcast from Jerusalem, monitored by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here. The Israel Premier was accompanied by Israel Chief of Staff Moshe Dayan, Shimon Peress, of the Israel Ministry of Defense, and Col. Chaim Laskov, new commander of Israel’s Southern forces.
Two trains entered Gaza from El Arish in Sinai today, marking repair of wrecked sections of the Haifa-El Arish rail line and its opening to traffic. The trains consisted of three locomotives and a large number of cars found at Gaza and El Arish when Israeli forces entered the two towns, the broadcast said.
