Israel probably won’t remove any Gaza settlements before the U.S. elections this November. Sources in Jerusalem revealed the time frame Wednesday ahead of a visit to Israel by three high-ranking U.S. diplomats to discuss Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to withdraw from Gaza. The sources said the Bush administration is wary of risking Jewish votes over Israeli unilateralism.
