Israel has protested sharply to the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization against Syrian violations of the Armistice Agreement along Lake Tiberias, it was announced here today.
Israel charges that Syria has built a brick factory in the Arab village of Nuqeib, near the ten-meter strip of the Lake Galilee shore which is considered Israeli territory. Each day, the Israelis complain, Syrians are seen at work inside the ten-meter strip, operating three pumping stations which they have built there for feeding water to the brick factory.
According to Israeli circles, no reply to this complaint has as yet been received from the UN Truce Supervision Organization.
