Soviet Ambassador Mikhail Bodrov was summoned today to the Foreign Ministry here for a talk with Dr. Chaim Yahil, director-general of the Ministry, during which it is understood issue was taken by the Israeli official with the charges printed in Trud, the Moscow daily newspaper, against Israeli diplomats in the Soviet Union.
While there was no official comment about the purpose of the conference, it was indicated that the Foreign Ministry strongly rejected the charges which alleged that Israeli Embassy personnel had maintained contact with Russian Jews for purposes of “espionage.”
