The sources cited three statements by Waldheim issued here on hostilities in Lebanon since the beginning of this month in which the Secretary General condemned Israeli actions against terrorist bases in Lebanon and the actions of the Christian militia forces against Palestine Liberation Organization attacks. In these statements, Waldheim completely ignored Syrian moves in Lebanon, the sources said. They added that while “there is nothing new” in Waldheim’s approach, nonetheless “it is disappointing.”
