Israel Rabinovitch, editor of the Jewish Daily Eagle, leading Canadian Jewish newspaper, and one of the most noted Jewish writers in this country for many years, died here today at the age of 70.
Born in Russia, Mr. Rabinovitch immigrated to Canada in 1911 and launched his literary career here in 1914. He was one of the foremost authorities on Jewish music, art, and the theater. He was also a distinguished literary critic and a Ieader in the Jewish educational movement in Canada.
