The Israeli Government is prepared to meet the representatives of the Government of Transjordan for armistice talks following the conclusion of the Israeli-Egyptian talks at Rhodes, it was learned here today. The talks at Rhodes are expected to come to an end at the middle of next week, it is believed here.

(The Associated Press reported today from Haifa that “an official informant” there said that “Israel was ready to come to terns with Egypt and probably would sign an agreement at Rhodes tomorrow.”)

Mark Ethridge, American member of the U.N. Palestine Conciliation Commission, arrived in Jerusalem today and was met at the airport by the other two members of the Commission. He then proceeded to the King David Hotel. After reaching the Israeli military lines, he was met by a representative of Israeli military governor Dr. Bernard Joseph and a Jewish guard of honor.
