The central blood processing institute of Magen David Adom, Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross, will cooperate with the United States Naval Medical Research Institute at Bethesda, Md., in experiments in the indefinite preservation of whole blood.
Congressman Emanuel Celler, national chairman of American Red Mogen Dovid, announced that two top researchers of the Bethesda Institute will go to Israel early this month. They are Dr. H. T. Meryman, chief of the Institute’s Biophysics Division, and his assistant Dr. Emanuel Kafig.
