An Israel Government spokesman last night refused to comment on a report of an inter-ministerial committee which has suggested that the privately-owned Palestine Potash company be nationalized. Meanwhile, Julius Simon, a director of the company, has promised a company statement soon.
The inter-ministerial committee report charged the company with inadequate exploitation of the Dead Sea mineral resources. The report recommended that a new company, with the government holding a controlling interest, be formed. The committee, which drafted the report after a lengthy survey, was headed by Premier David Ben Gurion and Economic Administrator S.S. Hoofien.
