Israel rejected holding a trilateral meeting with American and Palestinian officials to advance the peace process. “This is not the right time for such a meeting,” a spokesman for Ariel Sharon said after the foreign minister met with the U.S. ambassador to Israel, Edward Walker. American officials have been attempting to arrange the trilateral session next month in Washington.
