Rabbi Judah L. Maimon, Israel Minister of Religion, accompanied by Rabbi Jacob Herzog, director of the Ministry’s Christian Department, will emplane Thursday for Paris to attend the Rabbinical Conference.
They will also negotiate with heads of the French Catholic Church regarding relations between French church authorities in Israel and the return of French church properties by the Israel Government which still administers it. The negotiations are also expected to touch on the question of Jerusalem’s future status and the question of access for the Israelis to the Mount of Olives.
The Coptic Church representative in charge of Abyssinian church property arrived here today to discuss matters relating to the property with the Israel District Commissioner M. Biran.
