The Israel Government today appointed a Minister to Czechoslovakia, some four years after it recalled Dr. Arieh L. Kubovi, its last Minister to Prague, after the notorious Slansky trial which was marked by anti-Israel and anti-Semitic speeches.

The new Minister is Shlomo Kaddar who held the post of Charge d’Affaires in Prague since the recall of Dr. Kubovi. He is 43 years old, was born in Germany and was active in the Haganah in Israel while a member of a cooperative settlement. When Israel was established, he was stationed in Paris as counsellor of the Israeli Consulate there.
