Dr. Nathan Robinson, head of the Solar Radiation Laboratory of the Technion. Israel Institute of Technology, left Israel for Uruguay for a series of scientific conferences in connection with his work. The Technion scientist has been invited by the University of the Republic of Uruguay at Montevideo to help lay the ground work for the establishment of an Institute of Solar Radiation and Applied Climatology at the University. He will spend approximately one month in Uruguay.
He will later proceed to the United States where he has been invited to deliver the opening paper on solar machines at First World Symposium on Applied Solar Radiation to be held in Phoenix, Arizona, on November 2. More than 1,000 scientists from the major countries of the world will attend the symposium.
