Foreign currency income for Israel from tourists during 1960 was estimated today at $50,000,000 and the number of visits as more than 118,000, as compared with 86,000 in 1959.
Some $30,000,000 was exchanged by tourists at banks and other authorized institutions on the basis of a 20 percent premium. The rest of the tourist income came from air and sea fares on Israeli carriers.
