Israel’s military industry is now producing rockets and guns for mounting in airplanes, Zip Dar, head of the government-controlled munitions industry, revealed today.
In addition to being completely self-sufficient as far as ammunition and lighter arms is concerned, Mr. Dar said, Israel is also making field mortars and several types of heavy armaments. He said Israel was producing its munitions at a cost of about 15 percent lower than the prevailing world market prices.
