Israel’s 25,000-ton vessel “Shalom” has been purchased by the Hamburg-Atlantic Line, the company announced here today. The ship will be renamed “Hanseatic” and will be assigned to the North Atlantic and cruises. Built for Israel in France, the ship can carry 1,100 passengers, She was used for passenger service between Haifa and New York.
