Israel soon will have its first IMAX theater. The 300-seat theater — housed in a nine-story, cobalt blue pyramid — is scheduled to open March 31 in Eilat. “Israel has been in the doldrums for so long and this is a big shot in the arm,” said one of the builders of the $11 million project, real-estate developer Bennett Kaplan, who made aliyah 12 years ago from New Rochelle, N.Y.
