Shmuel Lalkin, chairman of the Israel Sports Federations, and Uri Afek, assistant to the president of the Israel Olympic Committee, have arrived here for a series of meetings with International Olympic officials in order to check on security measures and finalize arrangements for the participation of the athletes who will represent Israel at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games. Lalkin will be the chief of mission for the Israeli team, which is expected to contain at least 25 athletes. Israel is continuing to hold trials for the team through the end of May.
