Israel stepped up security at its diplomatic missions, on El Al planes and at Ben-Gurion Airport to prevent possible revenge attacks by Kurdish militants after three Kurds were killed and at least 15 were wounded when they stormed the Israeli Consulate in Berlin. In Rome, a Kurdish spokesman said Israel would now be the chief target of the group’s attacks.
