The delegation of Israel submitted to the Security Council today a complaint against Syrian incidents along the Huleh border and requested an urgent meeting of the Council to consider the latest killing of an Israeli shepherd by infiltrating Syrians.
The request, sent Monghi Slim, Tunisian president of the Council for this month, was in the form of a letter signed by Abba Eban, head of the Israel delegation to the United Nations. The letter listed a number of recent shooting and non-shooting incidents and violations of the armistice. It is expected that the Israeli delegation will review the entire series of provocations during the debate.
