Israel Supply Minister Leaves for U.s.; Will Aid United Jewish Appeal Campaign

Minister of Supply and Rationing Dov Joseph leftly air today for the United States to participate in the current drive of the United Jewish Appeal and to confer with U.S. Government officials on the shipment of foodtuffs to Israel. Premier Ben Gurion temporarily assumed Mr. Joseph’s post.

Rudolf G. Sonneborn, chairman of the board of directors of the United Palestine Appeal, returned to Jerusalem yesterday after visiting the Negev as a guest of the Israel Army. He later had lunch with Labor Minister Golda Myerson and conferred with Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett.
