Israel took formal possession today of the properties of the Iraq Oil Company, a British company which operated a section of pipeline and other facilities in Israel before 1948. A contract of sale was signed Friday.
The properties taken over today include, in addition to the pipeline section from the Lebanese border to Haifa, storage tanks and loading and unloading facilities located at and in the vicinity of Haifa.
