The first underwater exploration of Biblical archaeology in Israel will be conducted off the Israeli coast in the Mediterranean Sea next summer, it was announced by the Hebrew University here today.
The exploration will be conducted by an American inventor, Herbert Link, in cooperation with the University. Mr, Link, a well-known explorer as well as an inventor will direct the expedition in the Mediterranean harbor of Caesaria, the sunken Palestinian capital of Roman times. A special ship to be used by the expedition is now undergoing a shakedown cruise in the Caribbean Sea.
