Israel will help Nigeria expand its water resources by undertaking a search for water in Western Nigeria, it was disclosed today.

Five Israel engineers, representing the Foreign Water Development Company, will be working with three modern water-drilling machines sent from Haifa. The Foreign Water Development Company, organized by the Mekorot Water Company, the Israel Water Planning Authority and the Jewish Agency, entered a partnership with the Nigerian Government to handle the hunt for water.

Israel will soon submit proposals for additional water development projects in Nigeria, particularly the construction of a nation-wide network in Western Nigeria, it was reported here today.

A party of members of the Israel National Youth Organization, now touring West Africa, arrived today from Nigeria as guests of the Ghana Government for a nine-day stay. They will lay a wreath on the Accra war memorial and then visit three major cities of Ghana. They will also see Africa’s biggest harbor under construction at Tema.
