The Ministry of Interior announced today that residents of East Jerusalem and the west bank may apply next Sunday for the repatriation of members of their families who fled across the border in the wake of the Six-Day War.
The decision is in keeping with the Government’s policy of reuniting families, and is apart from the general permission given earlier for the return of west bank residents before a stipulated deadline. The new applications may be filed on behalf of all persons who were citizens of Jerusalem or the west bank before the war, and who left their homes prior to last July 4.
