Israel has agreed to return to France a shipment of French ammunition confiscated aboard the vessel Champolion in 1951 when the ship called at an Israel port. The ammunition was consigned to the Egyptian War Office. The Israel agreement to return the munitions to France followed lengthy negotiations between Israel and France.
(From Paris it was reported today that Israel had ordered 15 jet fighter planes from France.)
