The Israeli-Trans Jordan armistice negotiations are expected here to be more protracted and more stubborn than the talks between the Jews and the Egyptians, despite the fact that it la anticipated that the negotiations will proceed along purely military lines. The political Issues which must be settled include the future of Jerusalem and Latrun.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Governments position seems to be developing along the following lines: refusal to recognizing King Abdullah’s control over the non-Jewish farts of Palestine, nor his rule over the Old City; the Israeli delegation will raise the question whether Iraq is represented, and if so, by whom. It is understood that the Israelis will also demand that Iraq abandon whatever part of Palestine it now occupies after which the Jews will offer to exchange prisoners of war with the Iraqi.

While the Israeli staff here awaits developments at Cairo and the arrival of the Trans Jordan delegation it is winding up the remaining aspects of the Egyptian talks, Some of the delegation has returned to Tel Aviv and many of the documents used during the parley have been shipped to Israel.
