A Foreign Ministry spokesman said tonight that Israel was unaware of any approaches from the Soviet Union to resume diplomatic relations. The spokesman was referring to reports to that effect from Stockholm recently. He said that in principle Israel would like to renew diplomatic relations with Russia but the initiative must come from Moscow which broke off relations with Jerusalem at the time of the June, 1967 war.
