The Israel freighter Japos, which last night radioed a distress message from a position 250 miles off the French Atlantic coast, has succeeded in overcoming its difficulties and is proceeding to Israel, it was reported here today. The former Danish freighter was recently acquired by the Zim Shipping Company of Tel Aviv. All of the vessel’s crew members are Israelis while the captain is a Dane.
