The S.S. Kedmah was seriously damaged in the harbor here this morning when it collided with the sunken hulk of the Patria.
The ship was immediately moved out of the harbor proper and into the Haifa roadstead. Water has been pouring into her holds constantly through a hole caused by the accident, and a fire brigade has been busy pumping it out. The Patria was a “visaless immigrant” vessel which exploded in Haifa harbor during the mandatory regime with a great loss of life among her refugee passengers.
