Israel warned Lebanon today it would be held responsible for infiltrations into Israel of Arab saboteurs from Lebanese territory as Syrians opened fire last night on an Israeli patrol again.
The warning was conveyed to the Lebanese representative on the Israeli-Lebanese Mixed Armistice Commission to which Israel complained concerning the planting of an explosive which wrecked a toolshed near the Lebanese border on Tuesday.
Tracks from the toolshed led to the Lebanese village of Yarin, the MAC was told. The patrol returned the fire in the Huleh area in an exchange lasting five minutes. No casualties were reported.
