Israel will allow thousands of Palestinians to remain in the self-rule areas even though they settled there without permission from Israel. The decision by the Security Cabinet will apply to 5,000 Palestinians who entered the Palestinian areas on tourist visas, according to a spokesman for the army’s coordinator of activities in the territories.
