Israel will build a railroad linking Ashdod and Eilat, Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. Speaking at an investment conference in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu said the railroad would allow Israel to transfer goods from Eilat, its southern port, to Europe, making Israel a competitor with Egypt and its Suez Canal.
