Israel will invest millions of dollars in its West Bank settlements, Benjamin Netanyahu said. The finance minister’s comments came Monday after he reversed his position and said he would support Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank. Netanyahu said he changed his mind after President Bush announced last week that Israel would not have to accept Palestinian refugees and could hold onto some Jewish areas of the West Bank.
