The House Foreign Affairs Committee today made known, in reporting out the Mutual Security Bill, that Israel will receive the “same” amount as during the two previous years.
For Israel, the report said, “The content of the program will be the same as it has been for the two previous years.” Last year Israel received $70,000,000 while the sum for the year before was $65, 000, 000. Since the amounts for the two years differ, it is thought here that the committee reference means that the amount for Israel for the 1954 fiscal year will be somewhere between the two figures.
