Israel withdrew its troops from Bethlehem and the Gaza Strip on Monday night. As agreed upon in a U.S.-Israel-Palestinian security meeting, Israel pulled out of the Bethlehem region and northern Gaza Strip. The Israel Defense Force left troops surrounding several Palestinian towns and cities in the West Bank due to a high alert for terror attacks both in the West Bank and in Israel proper.
