The writers of Israel, in a special rally here tonight, called on all writers and cultural and spiritual leaders throughout the world to arouse public opinion and compel the Egyptian regime to end its persecution of the Jews They called on their colleagues throughout the world to act so that the conspiracy of silence over the Hitler extermination camps should not now be repeated. They also urged support of Israel in its just struggle for peace in the Middle East which would help to ensure world peace.

A resolution adopted by the meeting denounced Soviet attacks on Israel as constituting “racial incitement.” It warned that a renewed Communist arms supply to the Arab states could not only destroy Israel but the whole and it cautioned the world to learn the lesson on the blood and terror in Hungary.
