An Israeli agricultural expert, Zvi Gat, has been appointed by the Israel Government as principal agricultural adviser to Patrice Lumumba, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo, the government announced here today.
Mr. Lumumba had requested Israel’s Ambassador at Leopoldville, Ehud Avriel, to ask the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture to appoint such an expert, and the Ministry here recommended Mr. Gat. The latter’s main task will be the organization of the new republic’s agriculture ministry.
